Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) is a still poorly understood systemic disease characterized by progressive calcification and ossification of ligaments and entheses. The condition is often asymptomatic and is identified as an incidental finding on imaging studies performed for other reasons. Common symptoms are back pain and stiffness in the spine. We present a brief literature review and clinical cases.
