Validation of the bulgarian version of a scale for selective (screening) assessment of swallowing disorders in acute stroke/tia – ASSIST (ACUTE SCREENING OF SWALLOW IN STROKE/TIA)

We present a validation study of the Bulgarian version of a screening scale for swallowing disorders in patients with acute stroke/TIA – ASSIST. The tool was administered to 103 participants with a mean age of 72.8 years (±7.99), and 50.5% were women. The results confirm the good values of reliability, validity, and sensitivity of the clinical algorithm.
